Soaking it all In

I love Seagulls because their presence means that ocean water is not far away.

I remember when we first moved to the PNW from the landlocked Midwest.  I was in the grocery store parking lot, and there were seagulls in the parking lot.   That was just the most remarkable thing to a girl from the Midwest.

I love the ocean, the smell of saltwater, and the sounds of these birds.  

This little bird was hanging out with us while we were digging for clams on Long Beach.  I can't wait for the return of summer and long days on the coast.
